West Coast Weekend
Starting on Saturday, April 2 at 12:00 PST (20:00Z) and ending on April 3 at 23:00 PST (07:00Z) ZLA, ZOA, ZAB, ZSE, and ZLC are coming together for a VA Battle Royale! ZOA/ZLA will be providing around-the-clock, 36 hour coverage for the event, with ZAB, ZSE and ZLC providing staff during 'prime time'. Controllers will track takeoffs and landings by participating VA's. The VA with the highest number of operations over the course of the event will be the winner. Aside from the VA competition, this represents a great opportunity for all pilots to experience some of the airports offered by each of the ARTCC's. Fly in with your big metal, then take your time and explore some of the smaller airports! | |
