California born and raised, Mark McCoy has lived in Ventura County just about all of his life. Having been an aviation nut since childhood, it wasn't much of a surprise when Mark's discovery of virtual airlines and VATSIM led to a full blown passion to fly and control online. Mark has been a principle founding member of many virtual airlines, namely MetroAir Virtual, Atlantic Sun, and American Trans Air virtual (ATAv), before being by the green glow of the controller's scope. By day, Mark spends his time as the owner of an aircraft sales & services company, and splits his time with the family business brokerage. When his kids are asleep, you can usually find Mark working the controls of a MetroAir airliner online, or manning the scopes in the ZLA. If you see Mark online, say hello! He'll usually regale you with an embellished story of a recent landing, but he'll come clean in the end.
